The governing structure consists of the Board of Studies (BoS), supported by the Evaluation Committee (EC) and the students’ Steering Committees (SC), and the Board of Advisors (BoA). It fulfils the relevant regulations of the host universities and relies on their services to implement the day-to-day operation of the programme.
The BoS, chaired by the PD, is composed by the scientific coordinators of the research units:

This bridging role assigns to the BoS the responsibility to attend to issues addressing the consistency and integration of academic curricula, coordination of the research policies in the programme context, promotion of innovative thematic areas through the direct allocation of scholarships and identification of new strategies for student success and excellence.
The international BoA consists of three scientists which main competence is to assess periodically the adequacy of the programme organization, the quality of the scientific environment, the quality and the relevance of the theses in the international context, mainly in what regards their outcome in knowledge and technology transfer.
