On the 15th of February Professor Madalena Dionísio, from FCT-Nova, will give a talk in Chemforum. Madalena Dionísio graduated in Chemistry-Physical and Inorganic Chemistry 1986 in Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (final thesis in calorimetry supervised by Professor José Artur Martinho Simões of IST at the time). On the 16th of January Professor Stephen K. Hashmi, from Heidelberg University, Germany, will give a talk in Chemforum. He is the Vice-President for Research and Transfer in Heidelberg University. On the 13th of December Professor Semih Eser, from Penn State University, USA will give a talk in Chemforum. Semih Eser is a Professor of Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering at Penn State University. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and his Ph.D. in Fuel Science from Penn State University. Dr. Gang Zheng from the University of Toronto will be the next Chemforum speaker. Dr. Gang Zheng is a Professor of Medical Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto, a Senior Scientist and the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum/Brazilian Ball Chair in Prostate Cancer Research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center. He received his PhD in 1999 from SUNY Buffalo in Medicinal Chemistry.
