On the 8th of November Teresa Santos Silva, from REQUITE, FCT-NOVA will give a talk in Chemforum. Teresa Santos-Silva is a Structural Biologist interested in integrative approaches to study protein-ligand interactions with applications in drug development and biotechnology. She graduated in 2001 in “Applied Chemistry" at FCT-NOVA and obtained a PhD in Structural Biology from NOVA, under the supervision of Maria João Romão in 2006. On October the 12th Prof. Mario A. Monteiro will give a lecture on Chemforum. Mario Monteiro was born in Lisbon, but at the age of 2 years old moved to Serra da Estrela with his parents where he would do his early schooling. On September 27 the 2017 Autumn Chemforum Edition will start with a talk from Dr. Jamal Moussa from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC), in Paris, France. On the 1st of June we’ll have a talk by Dr. Anthony Burke from Universidade de Évora. Anthony J. Burke obtained a BSc (joint honours in Chemistry & Biology, 1988) from NUI-Maynooth and a PhD from University College Dublin, Ireland (1993, supervisors –W. Ivo. O’Sullivan and DMX Donnelly). On  Wednesday, May the 10th, we’ll have a talk by Dra. Ana Petronilho, from ITQB. Ana Petronilho graduated in Chemistry in 2004, from Instituto Superior Técnico. In 2005, she joined the group of Prof. E. Carmona at the University of Seville, to initiate her PhD studies.
